Tolland Little League welcomes and needs volunteers to continue to provide quality baseball and softball programs to Tolland's young athletes. There is always room for a helping hand. We are always looking for more people to assist with the many roles it takes to run a successful season. If you can find the time to help out in any way we will find a job for you! Secretary - The League Secretary is the Board of Directors member who is in charge of records, correspondence, minutes of meetings, and related affairs of the organization. More details on this role can be found HERE.

Coaching Coordinator - Represents coaches/managers in league; presents a coach/ manager training budget to the board; gains the support and funds necessary to implement a league-wide training program; orders and distributes training materials to players, coaches and managers; coordinates mini-clinics as necessary; serves as the contact person for Little League and its manager-coach education. Receives and distributes coaching information from Little League International and distributes to all coaches and managers.

Fundraising Director - 

• Solicits and secures local sponsorships to support league operations
• Collects and reviews sponsorship and fundraising opportunities
• Organizes and implements approved league fundraising activities
• Coordinates participation in fundraising activities
• Maintains records of monies secured through sponsorship and fundraising initiatives

A Division Director - If you child is a 6-7 year old Little Leaguer entering A ball, this would be a great role for a parent new to the board. The responsibilities include:
Manage, organize and supervise all operations of the A division

• Communicate with and represent needs of division teams and Managers
• Work with Player Agent to form teams for the A division
• Coordinate with Player Agent on issues involving players, rosters, eligibility or player replacement during the season
• Coordinate with Facilities Director on field availability and communicate any rescheduled games with Managers and Umpires.
• In conjunction with VP of Baseball, address any in-season issues as they arise (rosters, conduct of fans, umpiring, parent complaints, etc.)

Softball Directors - Majors Director
Manage, organize and supervise all operations of your division

• Communicate with and represent needs of division teams and Managers
• Work with Player Agent to form teams for your division
• Coordinate with Player Agent on issues involving players, rosters, eligibility or player replacement during the season
• Coordinate with Facilities Director on field availability and communicate any rescheduled games with Managers and Umpires.
• In conjunction with VP of Softball, address any in-season issues as they arise (rosters, conduct of fans, umpiring, parent complaints, etc.)

Ongoing Volunteer Positions
Coaching - Both Head and Assistant Coaches
Concession Sales - Sell snacks, drinks, and merchandise at the fields (except Cross Farms)
Opening Day Committee - Help plan and execute opening day ceremonies
