Tolland Little League is offering Fall Baseball!
Registrations are now open for fall baseball. The deadline to register will be Sunday, August 7 at 11:59pm. This is a hard deadline with no late registrations. Play will start up after Labor Day and continue through late October. The following leagues are offered, provided there are enough sign-ups to field teams at each of the levels:
Instructional Baseball: This is skills/drills based with a focus on the fundamentals of baseball. This is geared towards players that played this past spring at the tee-ball or A levels, or AA players not ready for competitive player pitch games yet. All events for this level will be in town, with generally 2 practices per week. The charge for this league is $40.
Minors Baseball: This is competitive play with player pitch and a few modified rules (eg; limits on steals per inning, per inning run limits). This is geared towards players that played AA or AAA this past spring. Games are every Saturday and Sunday against other local towns (eg: South Windsor, Stafford, Ellington, Manchester, etc.). Teams may practice during the week as well, generally one night per week. This fall league will allow players to gain valuable live game experience, learn game situations, and help build strong fundamentals. The charge for this league is $85.
Majors Baseball: This is competitive play using normal 12U little league rules. This is geared towards players that played majors this past spring or played AAA and are ready to make the jump to majors next spring. Games are every Saturday and Sunday against other local towns (eg: South Windsor, Stafford, Ellington, Manchester, etc.). Teams may practice during the week as well, generally one night per week. This fall league will allow players to gain valuable live game experience and develop further situational understanding of the Majors level play. The charge for this league is $85.
Intermediate League 50/70: This league uses a 70' Intermediate diamond (50' pitching mound). This is geared for players that completed their Majors eligibility in the past spring season. All baseball rules will be implemented, including leading and pick offs. This fall league will allow players to gain valuable experience as they transition out of the Majors rules and learn to play the game at the more advanced level, without having to make the adjustment to the full field dimensions. The charge for this league is $85.
Juniors Baseball: This league is played on a standard 90 ft diamond with all baseball rules implemented. This is geared for players that either played Juniors or 50/70 in the spring season, or players who completed their Majors eligibility in the Spring and are physically ready to handle the transition to the full-size field dimensions. The charge for this league is $85.
